Um dia numa aldeia comunal (« une journée dans un village communal ») est un documentaire de 1981 réalisé par la photographe Moira Forjaz, qui a étudié le cinéma auprès de Jean-Luc Godard lors de son séjour au Mozambique après l’indépendance du pays en 1975. Le film dépeint le quotidien et les dynamiques sociales du village communal de Vigilância, situé dans la province de Gaza et vivant de l’agriculture. Il met l’accent sur l’organisation collective, l’émancipation des femmes et le travail communautaire. Dans le contexte de la guerre civile qui ravageait alors le Mozambique, et avant même la première projection publique du film, le village fut attaqué et ses habitants tués.
Um dia numa aldeia comunal (“a day in a communal village”) is a 1981 documentary by photographer Moira Forjaz, who studied filmmaking under Jean-Luc Godard during his time in Mozambique following the country’s independence in 1975. The film portrays the daily life and social dynamics of the communal village of Vigilância, in Gaza Province, whose inhabitants live from the land. It focuses on collective organisation, the emancipation of women, and communal labour. In the context of the civil war then ravaging Mozambique, and before the film had even received its first public screening, the village was attacked and its inhabitants killed.
