Deux fois par semaine, des employés du métro de Moscou se retrouvent pour chanter dans le Chœur du Métropolitain. Le soudeur fut guitariste de rock au Kazakhstan, la caissière a suivi des cours de comédie, le responsable de l’entretien fut pianiste d’un ténor célèbre. Avec le chœur, ils se retrouvent sous les projecteurs, quittant le tumulte des tunnels. Mais pour combien de temps ? Pris entre la direction, qui compte sur eux pour son prestige, et les chefs de station, qui au nom de la rentabilité veulent les faire taire…
Twice a week, employees of the Moscow Metro gather to sing in the Metropolitan Choir. The welder used to be a rock guitarist in Kazakhstan, the ticket clerk took acting classes, and the maintenance supervisor was once the pianist of a famous tenor. Through the choir, they step back into the spotlight, leaving behind the hustle and bustle of the tunnels. But for how long? Caught between the management, which relies on them to enhance its prestige, and station supervisors who, in the name of profitability, would rather silence them, their future remains uncertain.
