In Mandé culture, a bride-to-be withdraws for three days before her wedding, entering an enclosed space where she prepares for her new life. The film follows this retreat from the world as an intimate journey of transformation. Surrounded by women from her community, amid words, rituals, and silences, the bride moves through a suspended time in which she comes face to face with herself. The room – at once closed and sheltering – becomes a sanctuary of metamorphosis, a symbolic space where she reinvents herself before joining her husband.
