« Ce court métrage expose la situation des ouvriers de l’usine INSUD, victimes d’intoxication au plomb et qui se sont battus pour améliorer les conditions sanitaires de l’entreprise. L’utilisation de ressources issues du théâtre épique est manifeste, tout comme la présence de matériaux divers provenant de sources hétérogènes : narration avec affiches, articles de journaux, animations graphiques, chansons, bannières, témoignages et combinaison d’images fixes et animées. Toutes ces ressources, qui créent une distance, provoquent consciemment une réflexion esthétique sur le médium expressif lui-même, tout en s’inscrivant dans un cinéma engagé et de combat. » Javier Cossalter
“This short film highlights the plight of the workers at the INSUD factory, who suffered from lead poisoning and fought to improve health and safety conditions at the company. The use of elements drawn from epic theatre is evident, as is the inclusion of diverse material from a variety of sources: narration accompanied by posters, newspaper articles, graphic animations, songs, banners, testimonies and a combination of still and moving images. All these elements, which create a sense of distance, deliberately provoke an aesthetic reflection on the expressive medium itself, whilst remaining firmly rooted in socially engaged and militant cinema.” Javier Cossalter
