Au printemps 2013 pendant deux semaines, il s’est agi d’offrir à des patient·es la possibilité de s’emparer d’outils de cinéma (son & image) et tenter de montrer autre chose que les sempiternels lieux communs concernant la souffrance psychique ou le « scandale hospitalier ». Beaucoup de plans fabriqués entre pierres et oiseaux, cheval et chansons sont, nous l’espérons, délivrés dans ce film qui est d’abord la trace d’un exercice fabriqué en commun. C’est peut-être en ce sens que nous avons été fidèles à une histoire du soin née pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale au sein de cet hôpital.
In the spring of 2013, over the course of two weeks, it was a matter of offering patients the possibility to take hold of cinematic tools (sound and image) and to try to show something other than the usual clichés surrounding psychological suffering or the so-called “hospital scandal”. Many shots, crafted among stones and birds, horses and songs, are, we hope, carried within this film – which is, above all, the trace of a collectively made exercise. Perhaps in this sense, we remained faithful to a history of care born within this hospital during the Second World War.
