Riki Kalbe (1941-2002) était cinéaste et photographe. Passionnée par la réalité concrète de la vie, elle y découvrait des univers métaphoriques. Elle a inventé le hacker féministe, anticipant la réalité. Ce film, réalisé quand elle était étudiante à la DFFB, raconte l’histoire de trois femmes qui vivent ensemble et construisent un émetteur de brouillage qu’elles utilisent pour pirater la bande-son des journaux télévisés. Leurs motivations polémiques sont expliquées par un montage d’archives télévisées, qui montre comment les hommes occupant des postes de direction parlent des femmes et de leurs activités.
Riki Kalbe (1941-2002) was a filmmaker and photographer. She was fascinated by the concrete reality of life, discovering metaphorical universes in it. She invented the feminist hacker, anticipating reality. This film, made when she was a student at the DFFB tells the story of three women who live together and who build a scrambling device they use to pirate the soundtrack of television newscasts. Their polemical motivations are explained by a montage of televised archives showing how men occupying managerial positions talk about women and their activities.
