Synopsis

À leur sortie du centre psychiatrique où elles avaient été injustement placées, Katya et Yulia, deux jeunes femmes russes que je filme depuis de longues années, accèdent enfin à une vie indépendante. Gagnée de haute lutte, cette liberté nouvelle leur promet de voir s’exaucer enfin leurs rêves d’une nouvelle vie. Mais comment vivre libre et poursuivre ses aspirations dans la Russie d’aujourd’hui ?

Katya and Yulia, two young Russian women I’ve been filming for many years, are released from the psychiatric center where they had been unjustly placed. Their new hard-won freedom paves the way for them to finally achieve their dreams. But how do you live free and pursue your aspirations in today’s Russia?
