Synopsis

Sacem jury special Award 2024

The story of the late DJ / producer DJ Mehdi, a young Parisian of Arabic descent who went from defining the sound of French rap’s most hardcore acts (including Kery James, 113, African Mafia and Booba), to collaborating with French music’s finest musicians (MC Solaar, Diam’s, Akhenaton, -M- and more) to becoming one of the brightest ambassadors of French Electronica on the world stage alongside Justice, Cassius, Daft Punk and the Ed Banger Records family.
A powerful story connecting the two most popular musical genres of the past twenty-five years, hip-hop & electronica, through the uncanny journey of a music genius essential to both cultures, yet largely unknown to the mainstream.

A six-episode series.

The Sacem jury special Award will be given by Bruno Lejean, member of the Sacem audiovisual committee.
