Synopsis

En sanskrit, Maitreya est le prochain Bouddha, le soi-disant « Bouddha du futur », mais c’est une femme qui lui donnera naissance. C’est elle, la femme/mère, qui engendrera la nouvelle humanité. Le film est donc une ode à la maternité, à la relation mère-enfant et à la capacité générative et vitale du féminin.

In Sanskrit, Maitreya is the next Buddha, the so-called “Buddha of the future”, but it is a woman who will give birth to him. It is she, the woman/mother, who will beget the new humanity. The film is therefore an ode to motherhood, to the mother-child relationship and to the generative and vital capacity of the feminine.
