Synopsis

A unique work in Portuguese cinema: science fiction in the context of militant cinema, shot in the middle of the ongoing revolutionary process in 1975. A Confederação imagines a Portugal divided between two states, clearly delimited in social, political and philosophical terms: the North and the South. There is constant tension and monitoring between these two factions, but this does not prevent Maria, an officer with the Anti-Seismic Brigades, and António, second lieutenant of the Militias, from finding a way to pursue a forbidden relationship.
