Synopsis

En filmant ce qui allait être leur dernière madrague ou « companha », Campos rend hommage au travail et aux efforts des pêcheurs de thon de l’Algarve. Peu après la fin du film, la mer a détruit leur arraial. Le son a été fait en 1974, avec le soutien de la Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian.

Tribute to the work and effort of the Algarve tuna fishermen, filming what would become the last almadraba or “companha” made by them, since shortly after the film was finished the sea destroyed this arraial. The sound was made in 1974, with the support of the Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian.
