Les mains des hommes étaient comme des animaux,
Longtemps, longtemps, je suis resté à les regarder.
Et les moutons étaient comme des personnes,
ils pleuraient, dansaient, riaient.
Au pied du « Mont Père »
les agneaux orphelins nous suivaient partout,
ils cherchaient leur mère.
Et quand vint Pâques
et que certains furent tués
nous pleurions.
Puis ils sont nés à nouveau
et ainsi, petit à petit,
le troupeau s’est formé.
Les saisons passent,
les animaux naissent et meurent,
le cycle de la vie :
Naissance – Mort – Renaissance.
The hands of men were like animals,
I stood and looked at them for long and long.
And sheep were like people,
they were crying, dancing, laughing.
At the foot of “Mount Father”
the orphan lambs followed us everywhere,
they were looking for their mothers.
And when Easter came
and some were slaughtered
we were crying.
Then they were born again
and so little by little,
the herd was formed.
Seasons pass,
animals are born and die,
the cycle of life:
Birth – Death – Rebirth.
